In ISM this week, I worked on my Original Work project. For my Original Work, I decided to create an infographic that explains how to promote a virtual concert. I completed several research assessments over the course of the semester that I used to help me complete my project. Some of the articles that I read were titled “The Ultimate Guide to Online Concert Promotion,” “How to Live Stream a Music Event,” “Everything You Need to Know About Live Streaming Concerts,” and “How to Live Stream Your Event to Attract and Engage Your Audience on Social Media.” These articles helped me further my understanding of how live shows work. I also further understood how these live stream shows are promoted. I put together all of these articles along with my research assessments and created a portfolio containing all of the information I used for my original work. The five topics that I included in my Original Work project are: finalize show details, begin promoting to fans, promote to a larger audience, interact with the audience, and after the show. I then explained the details of these steps, including how they will generate revenue and help spread awareness about the event that is being promoted. Next week, I plan to present my original work to the class and I look forward to hearing about all of the other Original Work projects.
