This week in ISM, I completed my Original Work assignment, log, and assessment. I first completed my Original Work. For this assignment, I created an infographic that explained five various steps on how to promote a virtual concert. My first step was to finalize show details. I included that it is important to determine the platform that will be used to stream the show as well as how much the tickets will cost and if the audience will be limited. Next, I stated that you should begin promoting to fans. Although it is a smaller target audience, fans are more likely to purchase tickets than the general public. Then, I included that you need to promote to a larger audience. This allows for the artist to increase ticket sales and widen their fanbase as well. Fourth, I stated that it is important to interact with the audience. This creates more excitement and engagement leading up to the show. Finally, after the show, it is important to continue posting and talking about the event to attract more of an audience to videos of the show and to the artist in general. I then completed my Original Work assessment where I wrote about all of the steps I took to complete the assignment. In ISM next week we do not have much to do, but I hope to get my first mentor visit set up before we go on winter break.
