Weekly Report #22

We did not go to school this week because of a snow storm that caused power outages and conditions that could not be driven on. This prevented me and Shelby from being able to meet for a mentor visit, but I was able to complete a research assessment. For this assessment, I decided to research something related to my final product. I looked at ideas as to what I can do for my fan experiences, and found a website with several articles linked to it that shared various fan experiences. I looked into three of these ideas, and they helped me to begin thinking about what I would like to do. These three experiences included a fan made music video, an interactive billboard advertisement, and a VIP Snapchat geofilter. Of these three experiences, the one that stood out to me the most was the Snapchat geofilter. This was created for Lollapalooza and shared information for a secret performance that only fans who saw the filter were invited to. Although something like this would not be done for an arena show, I think that the idea of a Snapchat geofilter is definitely something that I will keep in mind going forward. I did not complete as much as usual this week due to the lack of power, but I am hoping to continue to work on my final product and go on a mentor visit next week.
