Weekly Report #9

In ISM this week, I began working on my research speech. I created a power point presentation to have with me while I am presenting. I added a lot of pictures to my presentation along with a couple bullet points on each slide to help with my speaking points. I plan to split my speech into different parts, beginning with an “about me” introduction. When I give my speech, I plan to speak about some of the same points I did in my very first speech. Then, I plan to speak about my research assessments. I have done six assessments so far this year, and I plan to speak about all of them when I give my speech later this week. My first assessment was about concert promotion in general, so I will take that as an opportunity to explain my topic more in depth. I had two assessments about how Covid is affecting the live music industry, and I think that this will also be a good point to cover in my speech. I will also cover the importance of connections in the industry, which I conducted one of my more recent research assessments over. Then, I will talk about all three interviews I have conducted so far. In my presentation, I will include photos of the professionals I spoke with as well as a photo of their workplace. I think that my research speech this week will be a great opportunity to share my topic and research that I have conducted so far this year. I also look forward to learning more about what my classmates have been studying in ISM.
